The Riverton Free Library will have a book sale on Sunday, October 10th, 17th, and 24th. There is no book sale on the 31st because of Halloween. Masks are required. All hardbacks are $0.50 and everything else is $0.25.
The Riverton Board of Trustees meant on September 27th and reviewed the minutes from the last meeting, the budget, fundraising opportunities, summer programs, and storytime locations. You can review the minutes through this PDF. Riverton Minutes_0001
On October 11th (Columbus Day) the BCL library branch will be open from 9 am to 5 pm. All other branches will be closed and resume normal operating hours on Tuesday, October 12th.

In 2020 most of the books that were banned shifted from the traditional Catcher in the Rye to books that dealt with racism and discrimination. The article also discusses some of the authors opinions on their books being banned.
