Support Our Library

The Riverton Free Library was founded in February of 1899, financially supported by local residents.  Established as an independent library, serving the Riverton and Palmyra, New Jersey communities, we have grown in our mission of service.  We are now a branch of the Burlington County Library System, yet remain a unique library within the system; our library is funded, in part, by the county as well as through individual donations.  Your donation is essential to maintaining our historic building, its grounds, as well as offer resources and services to the library.  This I how you can keep us strong and viable in our community:

Donating

To donate anytime or during our Annual Appeal, of course you can send a check made out to the Riverton Free Library Association and drop it off at the library or mail it to the Riverton Free Library, 306 Main Street, Riverton, NJ  08077.

If your employer matches charity donations, know that we are registered as a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization.  Check with your employer to see if your donation can go even further.

To facilitate online donations, we have established our PayPal account.  Please know that the company has a service charge of 2.2% + $0.30 per transaction to pay for the service.

Have Fun at our Events

Our fundraising events are very popular, and for good reasons — they are great fun and help to raise needed funds for the library.  Come be a part of our community!

Volunteer

We love community members to join our Friends of the Riverton Free Library!  Join us in our fundraising events such as the annual Cocktail Social or the biennial Candlelight House Tour. You can help staff the Sunday Gently-Used Book Sale, located in the basement of the library.  Maybe you would like to join the Board of Trustees?  Perhaps your home could be added to the Candlelight House Tour?  If interested, contact our Association President using the Contact form, below.

Thank you for your continuing support!
