On January 17th all libraries will be closed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day except for the Burlington County Library which will be open from 10 am to 5 pm. All libraries will be open the following day.

Due to the rise in COVID, the library will have limited hours for the next two weeks. Monday through Friday the Library will be open from 10 am to 5 pm and it will be closed on Saturday and Sunday.

All libraries in Burlington County will be closed from December 24th to December 26th for Christmas. They will reopen under normal operating hours on December 27th. Then they will close again on December 31st and January 1st for the New Year. Happ Holidays everyone!

NPR has developed an extensive list of the best books in 2021. It has over 360 selections and they vary from children’s, young adults, and essays. The page is also further divided into tabs for the different genres and you can look at the previous years selection too!

An article by Andee Tagle from NPR discusses the benefits of reading out loud to children. Some benefits include starting conversations about emotions and what they are and how to handle the different emotions a child might feel. It also helps develop social skills as parents encourage children to sing, talk, and even role-play their favorite books!
