Recent studies confirm the importance of improving language skills for infants and toddlers by the simple act of reading to them.
See NRR’s recent post about their report on improving language skills and literacy in children. While doing cuddle time, read to your child!
Some pediatricians have begun to include offering new books to their low-income families during pediatric office visits, supported by the program, Reach Out and Read and well as the program, Too Small to Fail.

Effective January 3, 2016, the Riverton Free Library will be serving patrons during the following hours:

The Riverton Free Library will be closed for the holidays at 5 PM on Thursday, December 24th, and all day on Friday December 25th. It will also be closed on New Year’s Eve at 5 PM, December 31st, as well as all day on Friday, January 1st.
