turkeyLibrary Closing: The Riverton Free Library will be closed on Thursday, November 24th and Friday, November 25th for Thanksgiving.  Happy Turkey Day!

Candlelight House Tour — Sneak Peek!

Candlelight House TourLibrary Board member and photographer, Eleanor Paladino, is giving us a sneak peek at the lovely houses that are on this year’s Candlelight House Tour.  (It is her photo of the library that is our new masthead!)  And don’t forget — the library’s second floor apartment and the Historical Society of Riverton’s Archives, which is also at the library, will be on display.  Come join us!  All proceeds benefit the library.

  • Date: Saturday, December 3, 2016
  • Time: 4 PM until 9 PM
  • Tickets, available in advance for $15 each, can be purchased at the New Leaf, the Orange Blossom Cafe, and Fresh Produce of Palmyra.  Tickets at the door will be $20 each.

Museum for a Day; Used Book Sale

gn-logo-color2The Historical Society of Riverton welcomes all to their archive display, their Museum for a Day, to be held on the night of the Candlelight House Tour.  The Museum will be open on Saturday, December 3rd from 4 until 9 PM.  The space will feature themed displays with items from their archives, and will have mugs and prints for sale.

The HSR archives are located in the “new” basement of the library.  To prepare for HSR’s Museum for a Day, there will be no library used book sales on November 20th, 27th or December 4th.  The sale will resume December 11th.
