HSR General Meeting & Presentation — Sgt. Henry Johnson

Image, thanks to Arlington Cemetery.net

The Historical Society of Riverton is proud to offer a dramatic presentation of the life of Sergeant Henry Johnson, who was a soldier in the 139th Infantry Regiment, whose bravery and uncommon heroism in hand-to-hand combat saved lives during his World War I service in the Argonne.  His citation read:The Distinguished Service Cross is presented to Henry Johnson, Sergeant, U.S. Army, for extraordinary heroism in action in France during the period 13 – 15 May 1918.  Come hear about this remarkable man.

After a short, general meeting of the HSR at 7 PM on November 14th, hear an actor portray Sgt. Johnson.  All are welcome.
