An Evening of Fun – And for Great Causes, Too!

On Saturday, April 28th, Riverton is hosting two fantastic events that will benefit two worthy causes.

If you attend the Riverton Police’s 5th Annual Fundraiser to Benefit Special Olympics New Jersey, dinner will be offered at the Orange Blossom Cafe, $25/adults, $8/children.

On that very same evening the Riverton Free Library’s Enchanted Forrest Cocktail Social will be from 8 PM to 11 PM.  Music, dancing, and terrific raffle items, along with libations and food.  You can purchase your tickets in advance or at the door, $25/advance – $30/door.

But come to both events!  If you purchase your ticket for the library’s fundraiser in conjunction with the police fundraiser at the Orange Blossom Cafe, one additional award to you is a discounted library ticket!  Tickets that night at the Orange Blossom Cafe for the library fundraiser will be $20/person.

Our HSR Library Plaque!

In collaboration with the Historical Society of Riverton, the Riverton Free Library has its own plaque, to be displayed in front of the library. It’s a beauty!

This joint project was based upon an article that was written and researched by Roger Pritchard and Patricia Smith Solin.  Roger’s talented design is elegant and informative.  We thank John McCormick of the HSR for sharing many of his images with us to make this plaque come alive with detail.

Watch this site for information on its unveiling date and time.

For more historical information on the library, be sure to see the full Gaslight News article from January 2018 as well as our own History of the RFL tab.
