Riverton Free Library Friends – Meeting Notes

Minutes for May 14, 2018, Meeting

Treasure’s report:  Eleanor Paladino was unable to attend the meeting, but approximately. $6000 net was the result of this year’s cocktail party, Enchanted Forest.  We will split the net profit with the Board.

Museum passes were purchased for Academy of Natural Science, Morris Arboretum, Seaport Museum, The Sculpture Garden, Battle Ship New Jersey,  and Discovery Museum (Paws Park).  All museum passes can now be ordered online.

Several members put above and beyond effort into the cocktail party…Thank you Jo, Karen, Joann, Kathy, Janice, Joyce, Phyllis, Faith, Bill (if I have forgotten anyone, I’m so sorry)

Membership:  Our membership numbers continue to grow, but I don’t see a large percentage at meetings.

Garden/Yard:  The garden group had a spring plant/clean-up in May and will be putting out another “help” call before the 4thof July.

Book Sale: It was suggested that we sell children’s books in front of the library during next year’s Treasure Day.

Candlelight House Tour:  The Board of Trustees will run this year’s Candlelight House Tour.  The date is December 1st.  The Friends will assist where needed.  There was talk of selling cookies if the library is open.
