Happy Holidays from the Riverton Free Library!

We are in a festive mood here at the library thanks to the dedicated Friends of the library who came out to decorate the building.   Our staff has created a fabulous book tree and a wonderful display of holiday books and DVDs for all ages.

We had a wonderful Fall that introduced some new programs geared towards our youngest library users.  Yoga Storytime invites children to stretch and breathe while Parachute Play encourages movement and lots of fun.  We will continue to focus on little ones in the New Year with Baby Olympics, which invites children that don’t walk yet to explore their senses at different stations set up around the room.  We are also excited to be a part of 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten, a Burlington County Library System initiative that promotes early literacy to children and their families.  We are celebrating the start of this program with a party on Saturday, January 20th at 10:30am.  Please join us and be prepared for a special visit from Elephant and Piggie, from the popular series by Mo Willems.

Teens and Young Adults are invited to attend the new Mat Yoga series on Wednesday nights in January.  What a great way to start on New Year Resolutions!

We hope you have a happy and healthy New Year and we look forward to seeing you at the library!
