The Last Wednesday Book Group
This open book group discusses classic, acclaimed, and great literature of all kinds. This month we will be reading Parable of the Sower by Octavia E. Butler. Check out your copy of this month’s selection at Riverton Library (while supplies last).

Spring Into Shakespeare: A Midsummer Night’s Rave

Join us this spring as we celebrate The Bard with movies you might (or might not have!) known were Shakespeare adaptations. This week’s selection is A Midsummer Night’s Rave (2002) – Life begins when the sun goes down for a group of party-prone friends attending an L.A. rave. The music starts and the dream begins as party-goer Puck gives them each a sample of his “love potion”. This glowing green liquid fuels their inner desires and allows the friends to connect with their long secret loves. Rated R. This movie is based on A Midsummer Night’s Dream.. If you’d like to read the play before watching, stop by Riverton Library to check out a copy. If not, just drop in to enjoy the movie! A casual watch party for fans of anime. We welcome you to bring any games to play or fan art you’ve created to share with the group. Please be aware that some anime may be rated TV-14.
