Parenting and Paperbacks

Want to chat with other parents about the parenting book you just read? Are you looking for a place to discuss the joys and difficulties of raising kids? Join us for Parenting and Paperbacks! This meeting will be held on Friday, October 17th from 10:30 am to 11:30 am!

For this meeting, we’ll be talking about solo parenting or parenting with a partner. Books on this topic include Fair Play; I Didn’t Sign Up for This; How Not to Hate Your Husband After Kids; For Better: The Science of a Good Marriage; And Baby Makes Three; Babyproofing Your Marriage; The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work; Marriageology; Hold Me Tight; The 80/80 Marriage; All Joy and No Fun; Secure Love; Mom’s House, Dad’s House; Everybody Fights; Making Marriage Simple; The Kickass Single Mom; The Two Parent Privilege; Operating Instructions; An Excellent Choice; and Splinters.

We welcome kids to come along with their grownups. We’ll lay out some toys, but you are responsible for your child while in the library.

Anime, Movies and More

A casual gathering to watch anime, for new and seasoned anime fans alike. Come to hang out and chat about your favorite series. This month, we will be watching Erased ep. 1-4, which is rated TV14.This gathering will be held on October 15th from 6 to 8 pm!

Storytime in Motion

Join us for our next Storytime in Motion, where we’ll read fun books and move our bodies! Please bring your own towel or yoga mat.
This will be on October 10th from 11 to 11:30 am!Best for Preschoolers 3-5, but all children are welcome.

Knit Wits

This group of experienced knitters meets to offer tips, suggestions, swap patterns, and socialize. All levels of knitters and crocheters are welcome.

Knit Wits will meet on every Wednesday in September from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm!

Chapter Chat Book Club

Chapter Chat is a read-together group for folks 17 and older with intellectual disabilities. The group meets every week to read a novel together.

At the event, we will take turns reading aloud from the book. You can read aloud as much or as little as you like, or you can just listen! This is not a reading instruction class: we read together to socialize and share the experience of reading a good book.

This group is limited to ten participants. Registration is required.
