We will be talking about a specific topic, and you are invited to read a book (or two) and come ready to add to the conversation. If you don’t have the opportunity to read a book, come for the discussion anyway!
For this meeting, we’ll be talking about raising kids with family values, beliefs, and ethics. This week’s selection is Get Over It (2001) – In this teen comedy, a high school senior desperately tries to win back his ex-girlfriend by joining the school play she and her new boyfriend are performing in, against the advice of friends. Rated PG-13. This movie is based on A Midsummer Night’s Dream. If you’d like to read the play before watching, stop by Riverton Library to check out a copy. If not, just drop in to enjoy the movie. Join us for fun stories, activities, and a craft! We focus on building early literacy skills such as recognition of the alphabet and written language, as well as oral language skills through rhymes or songs. Caregivers are encouraged to participate in the fun! Preschool Story Time is also a great place to socialize with other families and meet new friends.
