Parenting and Paperbacks

Want to chat with other parents about the parenting book you just read? Are you looking for a place to discuss the joys and difficulties of raising kids? Join us for Parenting and Paperbacks on Tuesday, October 17th from 10:30 am to 11″30 am!

We will be talking about a specific topic, and you are invited to read a book (or two) and come ready to add to the conversation! If you don’t have the opportunity to read a book, come for the discussion anyway! For this meeting, we’ll be talking about modern parenting in the United States in comparison to other countries. Books on this topic include All Joy and No Fun; The Danish Way of Parenting; Hunt, Gather, Parent; Bringing Up Bebe; Parenting Without Borders; There’s No Such Thing As Bad Weather; French Kids Eat Everything; Achtung Baby; and Do Parents Matter?

We welcome kids to come along with their grownups. We’ll lay out some toys, but you are responsible for your child while in the library.

Audience: Family Babies & Toddlers
Type: Book Club

About Emily Terifay

Hi! My name is Emily Terifay. I am a current student at Clarion University and studying to become a Librarian. I love books and reading, my favorite genres are fantasy and sci-fi. I also have a mini library at my house and I add more books to it at least every two months. I also have two guinea pigs, Timothy and Lemon who are adorable, if not a little annoying at times.
