Welcome Nancy!

Welcome to Our New Library Director, Nancy Fort!

A familiar face in Riverton, and at the Riverton Free Library, will become our next library director and manager of the Riverton branch of the Burlington County Library System — Mrs. Nancy Fort.

Her background

Nancy, with her husband and two sons, have been Riverton residents since 1998.  After her Business degree from Drexel University in 1992, she worked as a sales assistant for a stockbroker, but dreamed of continuing her education to become a ALA-certified librarian. She worked in several libraries while studying at Clarion University of PA for her Masters in Library Science — at the BCLS as a reference librarian, here in Riverton as a library assistant, and most recently, at the Bordentown branch library as one of two children’s librarians.  She completed her degree in 2015.

The Tradition Continues & What’s New

Nancy loves our little library and is working to enhance services and collection.  She is an enthusiastic storyteller; look for her exciting, tailored story hours and programming for children and young adults of all ages.  Her terrific book reviews, posted on this website, will continue as will many of the other reader services and programs that our library enjoys.

So, stop in and introduce yourself to Nancy!  You will want to get to know her, and she wants to know what the library can do better for you.
