Director’s Message

Happy New Year!

The library has a few exciting things planned to start the year off right.  We are celebrating the one year anniversary of the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program with a special appearance by singer/songwriter Kim Yarson.  Kim will be at the library on Monday, January 28that 10:30am to party with the preschool set.  Kim’s high energy show includes singing, dancing and helping kids make music on their own.  That very same day at 3:30pm, we will be hosting Lego in the Library for school age children.  Kids can use our Lego to construct their own creations or ask for an idea card to get them started.  I am particularly excited to announce the start of a Teen Advisory Board here at the library.  The Board will meet monthly to discuss and plan teen programs.  Teens can earn service hours for the time that they spend working on these projects.  The first meeting will be Wednesday, January, 23 at 7:00pm.

We look forward to seeing you at the library.
