Books, books, books!

The President of the Riverton Free Library Association, Kim Paulsen, is sharing her list of favorite books and hopes that our adult patrons will find a good, new read among her selections.  We also want to share a link to a recent New York Times article (August 27, 2018) by Perri Klass, M.D. entitled, Books That Take Children Back to School.  The article reminds parents that “books can help kids understand the story of their own lives in school.”

RFL President’s “My Favorite Books”

Hi everyone! As we say goodbye to the lazy days of summer and get back into the swing of school days, sports & structure I want to remind you to take a time out for yourself every once in a while to catch up with a good read!  And to help you here’s the start of “My Favorite Books” list (not in any particular order).

For me, the definition of a really good book is one that sticks with me and that I still randomly think of days, months and years after I have read it. Some of these books are well known and others are more obscure, some are serious and sad, some are lighthearted and silly, some are a little bit of a thriller and some are a combination of all of the above. Whatever might be your favorite genre, I hope that you enjoy them as much as I did! I will update this list as I think of more that I want to add! And please feel free to share your favorite books with me on our Facebook page!
